Production

Master Violinmaker
Bertrand-Yves Delisle

In my production (of violins, violas, cellos and quartet string instruments generally) I prefer to find my inspiration in the violinmakers of the Cremonese School from 1500 to 1800.

The models built in this period not only met splendidly the acoustic demands of a vast range of expert “ears”, offering, depending on the model, from the softest and richest sounds to the deepest and most powerful ones, but always guaranteed a great quality of tone.

Attempts were made all over the world to imitate and better the Italian craftsmen, with excellent results, too, but always to the detriment of the timbre, thus sacrificing the pleasure of a warm and expressive sound.

The Italian instruments are also a truly splendid sight.

Among the models I propose are:

as well the possibility of building personalized instruments
according to the musician's requirements.
